Mobile phone producer, Samsung added a new phone to their budget segment, they announced new M-series. Samsung started selling its new Galaxy M31 in Korea for $200. They gave it a competitive processor, equipped with a well-lasting battery, and four cameras, so you get a good pack of technologies with this price and especially if you compare it with other phones in this price segment. Here is a review of it.

Design

Actually, Galaxy M30 gave the design for this Samsung Galaxy M31. It’s tough to find any difference between them. Samsung gives us a 6,4-inch Infinity U display, the real problem that scopes around it is huge.

Galaxy M31 feels excellent in hands, easy to use it. You can find a 32MP front camera on the front, volume buttons on one side, SIM card slot and power button on the other side(and place for micro SD card). You also have as usual single speakers, charging slot — USB Type-c and place for audio 3,5 mm everything standard. On the backside, you can see four cameras, sensor for fingerprint, and of course, Samsung’s name.

Display

As we mentioned earlier, Galaxy M31 uses a 6,4-inch display, full HD+ AMOLED screen, which has a pixel resolution of 2340×1080. We get it with special protection on display. As usual, it has a filter of harmful blue lights, it helps our eyes, and we can turn on the darker regime to reduce the effect on our eyes even more.(you can set up it, so it will work automatically). A good thing in it, you can use the always-on display mode, which will show some important things.

Performance

So, this phone uses a 10 nm Exynos 911 process, which is the same as in his previous M model of Samsung. You get 6 gigabytes of RAM and have two options of storage, 64 gigabytes, and 128 gigabytes. Remember, you can upgrade it up to 512 gigabytes if you use a micro SD card. As usual, it works with Android version 10 and the company’s One UI 2.0. With this specification, the phone works pretty well. Apps work fast and smooth. You can easily play different games using this Samsung. There are many options, such as parent control, simple for Samsung preset apps of partners, which can hide any other do-not-needed apps, simple motions like taps control. Pretty powerful setup.

Main change — camera

This was updated if compare to Samsung Galaxy M31 and the previous version Samsung Galaxy M30. Now we get four cameras, instead of three on the preceding model. So what we get — 5MP sensor of depth, 8MP super-wide lens, 5MP camera for macro shootings, and main camera 64 MP. On the front, you get a 32MP selfie camera. As we can read in specifications, both cameras(rear and front) can make 4k videos, by the way, Samsung added a mode for night shootings, this helps at night, photos become better. You can find a special app, which will help you with photos, it can find a scene and make cam in the right way. Also, it allows to switch between different lenses quickly.

Charging possibilities

There is a 6001 mAh battery in Samsung Galaxy M31, perfect option for this price and important note — you get fast charging.

Final result

This phone is a terrific option to go for if you want to buy a phone under 250 USD. With this small price, we get some good technical parameters, enough cameras, big battery, fast charging, so this is the best combination of price and characteristics.
